Bridgit Co-Founders Named to Forbes 30 Under 30
Bridgit co-founders Mallorie Brodie and Lauren Lake named in the Forbes Manufacturing & Industry 30 Under 30 class of 2019
KITCHENER, ON – November 20, 2018 – Bridgit's co-founders, Mallorie Brodie and Lauren Lake, have been named to the 2019 Forbes Manufacturing and Industry 30 Under 30 class.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 list is an annual instalment that features 600 innovative entrepreneurs across 20 industries in Canada and the United States; honourees are selected from a group of 15,000 nominees with input from 50 reporters and a panel of 80 expert judges.
“Lauren and I are honoured and thrilled to be a part of the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list,” said co-founder and CEO Brodie. “The global construction industry is undergoing a significant transformation as innovation and technology enters and disrupts the market, and Bridgit is proud to be leading developers and contractors into an easier and more efficient future.”
Brodie and Lake, who both grew up in construction families, launched Bridgit in 2014 after conducting 500 onsite interviews with construction workers in a variety of roles. The pair, who were completing undergraduate degrees in business and civil engineering respectively at Western University at the time, learned where technology could help, how people wanted to use it, and where it wasn’t needed.
Today, Bridgit’s construction software offers a field-focused solution that simplifies communications and coordination, increases accountability and visibility, and improves quality on over 7,500 construction projects across North America.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 honour is another significant recognition for the pair, who were named Techvibes Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015, and were named to the TechWeek 100 list of entrepreneurs in 2017.
